Finally!
As of March 1, 2025, Aspire AB has officially merged with Ninetech. The “new Ninetech” now employs nearly 100 people, with offices in Stockholm, Linköping, Örebro, and Karlstad.
The more the merrier?
Absolutely! With more people onboard, we’re increasing both our delivery capacity and the depth of our expertise. And the timing couldn’t be better—demand for our digital development services has never been higher.
A strong position in the market
As part of our strategic work to further develop Ninetech and secure a strong market position, the merger gives us several powerful new “tools.” Deep experience in IoT. Black-belt skills in app development. And a wealth of additional AI expertise.

The press release announcing the merger plan, published last fall, can be found below.
CombinedX merges Aspire with Ninetech and divests Aspire’s operations in Borlänge
As part of CombinedX’s strategy to build strong specialist companies, Aspire will merge with Ninetech. Aspire’s strong expertise in system development strengthens Ninetech’s journey towards becoming a market-leading digitalization partner within sales and marketing processes. At the same time, Aspire’s operations in Borlänge will be divested.
Ninetech, a CombinedX company, specializes in digitalizing customer, sales, and marketing processes—including a significant amount of system development. By integrating Aspire into Ninetech, the company further enhances its ability to deliver tailored digitalization solutions for its customers. The companies have historically collaborated on several client projects. Following the merger, Ninetech will consist of approximately 100 employees across offices in Karlstad, Örebro, Linköping, and Stockholm. The merger will be preceded by customary union negotiations under Swedish labor law. Jonas Aronsson, CEO of Ninetech, will also assume the role of CEO of Aspire as of October 26, succeeding Hans Dahlberg, who is leaving at his own request.
As of today, an agreement has been signed for the transfer of Aspire’s Borlänge office and operations to Consid, with effect from January 13, 2025. The Borlänge unit has primarily focused on delivering system development services to the Swedish Transport Agency. Aspire’s framework agreement with the Swedish Transport Agency will expire on January 31, 2025, when Consid becomes the new framework supplier. Through the transfer, all employees in Borlänge will be offered continued employment. A total of 28 employees are included in the transfer, and Aspire’s revenues from the Transport Agency have amounted to approximately SEK 40 million annually. The business has generated low margins, and the divestment is therefore expected to have a limited effect on the Group’s operating profit.
“By divesting Aspire’s operations in Borlänge, we are reducing our exposure to a system development market where it has been difficult for us to differentiate. We are pleased to have found, together with Consid, a good solution for all employees in Borlänge as well as for our client, the Swedish Transport Agency. For the remaining Aspire employees, an exciting future now awaits together with Ninetech. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Aspire’s outgoing CEO, Hans Dahlberg, for his excellent collaboration during this transition process,” says Jörgen Qwist, CEO of CombinedX.
“Aspire and Ninetech are fundamentally very similar, sharing the same passion for technology as an enabler. Together we can take on larger and more complex projects. It feels fantastic to welcome all the talented employees and valued customers of Aspire to Ninetech,” says Jonas Aronsson, CEO of Ninetech and incoming CEO of Aspire.
